"Why did God send Jesus to earth?

He came to reveal God's love, to forgive sins, to give us eternal life, to set an example for living, and to establish God's Kingdom.

Part 1

To reveal the unconditional love that God has for humanity.

Romans 3:23 since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God;

John 3:16  So God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but may have eternal life.

How Jesus Revealed God's Amazing Love During His Time On Earth

Jesus welcomed and embraced those rejected by society including:  Tax Collectors, Prostitutes and all other Sinners.

** To sin is to not live in obedience to God in thought, word or deed.

** Devotion to God and obeying God's commands is how one lives a righteous life.

Mark 2:16-17 When the scribes of the Pharisees saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors, they said to his disciples, "Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?" When Jesus heard this, he said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick; I have come to call not the righteous but sinners."

What was Jesus telling us in Mark 2:16-17?  That the people that need Jesus the most are the people that are in greater need, sinners.

Righteous people that live by their faith are already in good standing with God.  Jesus came to earth to gather as many sinners as he could into His loving embrace so that, they too, can live a righteousness life.

Jesus welcomed all to come to him.  However each individual must choose for themselves to believe and join Jesus, or to stand against Him and His Father.  Those that join confess their sins to God and ask for forgiveness.  That is the first step in living a righteous life of faith and love.

Those who do not join will be eternally damned.  No second chances after their life has ended or when Jesus returns to collect his beloved followers.

My personal experience, I found salvation when I was a teenager.  When I was an adult there was plenty of backsliding.  I didn't have a happy life, a lot of troubles came my way.  It wasn't until a couple of years ago that Jesus started nudging me to get my life right with God.  I eventually found a home at The Way Church.  My Pastors and the community of loving Christians that I found there helped encourage me to renew my faith with God.  I have been studying the word, praying and fasting and growing stronger in my faith every day.  I have never been happier.  I wake up in the morning filled with joy and looking for more with God everyday.

I pray that all who read this post have or will choose wisely.  Amen

Part 2

He healed peoples diseases and forgave their sins.

Jesus offered physical and spiritual healing to all who would open their hearts and accept Him.  Healing the blind, healing the lame, healing the paralyzed,  healing the sick and dying, casting out demons, and forgiving peoples sins, so they might start a new life with God at the center.

Jesus showed humanity that God cares deeply about everyone.

Matthew 9:36

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

Taking care, having compassion and showing love, Jesus poured these out everywhere He went, as God bade him to do.  How better to offer these things than to go among the people and show them the truth, with love and humbleness?

Even when many rejected what Jesus came to offer, he never stopped.  He followed God's commandments even when discouraged and tired.  Why?  Because God has written each of us our own story, including Jesus.  When sin entered us through Adam,  God knew we would need what Jesus came to offer to find our way to heaven.

Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross in payment for our sins.

Romans 5:8

But God proves his love for us in that while we were sinners Christ died for us.

John 15:3

You have already been cleansed by the word that I have spoken to you.

Mark 10:45

For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Jesus offers salvation to everyone who believes in God.

If we believe in God, we can have salvation.  We can begin our new lives, with God, with our past sins forgiven and forgotten.

John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.  Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

1John 4:10-11

In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.  Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another.

Can you hear God's love coming loud and clear through every scripture?  Read and listen to these words.  Every word is ultimately about LOVE.

Love and sacrifice, from a father to his children(us).  Are you a parent?  Can you relate to God's actions?  Wouldn't you do everything in you power to save your children?  By sending Jesus to earth, God did exactly that.  He did everything in his power to save us.

Let that sink in and then think about how saddened and disappointed God must be in all the people that turned away from Him, even after the greatest sacrifice given.

Part 3

To Give Us Eternal Life

We all fall short of God's perfect standards

Romans 3:23

since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God;

Romans 5:8

But God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us.

Humanities sin separates us from God and leads us to spiritual death.  We were all doomed to spiritual death, at the fall of Adam from Grace.  Without Jesus' sacrifice, on the cross, we would all be spiritually hopeless and dead in our sins.

Ephesians 1:7

In Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespassers, according to the riches of his grace.

At Jesus' sacrifice we were all forgiven of past sins and offered the promise of eternal life. All we need to do is receive it.

By putting our faith and trust in Jesus we will experience such joyous blessings.

Justification:  upon Jesus' death and resurrection we are now righteous before God.

Redemption:  upon Jesus' death and resurrection we were set free from the bondage of sin.

Reconcilliation:  upon Jesus' death and resurrection our relationship with God is restored.

Cleansing: upon Jesus' death and resurrection we were purified of all unrighteousness.

Renewal:  upon Jesus' death and resurrection we have all been given a fresh start to live a new transformed life with God.

We can all work in freedom and joyful fellowship with our Lord.  All received the invitation of forgiveness upon Jesus' death and resurrection.  God offers the gift of forgiveness.  We need only, humbly, repent our sins, ask for forgiveness and put our complete trust in Jesus Christ.

1John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

John 3:36

Whoever believes in the son has eternal life; whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but must endure God's wrath.

God's intolerance of disobedience has wrathful consequences.  When He cast Adam and Eve out of the garden of Eden he cast all humanity in to sin.  His wrath was huge, and humanity has suffered the consequences through the ages.  God loves us, he didn't want His children to suffer damnation.  He sent his son to earth for the very purpose of giving His people a way to come back to Him.

I think about the loss of a child and my heart is shredded at just the thought.  Now try to imagine how God suffered at the need to sacrifice His only son for us.  Does God love us?  Most assuredly!  This one act proves it to me, but the Bible is full of examples of God's love.  All you need to do is read, hear and listen with your heart.

Don't doubt God's love.  Sing praises to His name!  Thank Jesus daily for his sacrifices for us!  Fill your entire being with this love and rejoice at the new life you will receive when you confess your sins and ask for forgiveness.

Part 4

To Give Eternal Life (continued)

Jesus came to earth with a mission, to provide humanity with the gift of eternal life.

Romans 6:23  For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 10:10  The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.  I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly

2 Corinthians 5:18-19  All this from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God has reconciled the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us.

1 Peter 1:3-5  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  By His great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who are being protected by the power of God through faith for  salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Hebrews 2:15  and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by the fear of death.

John 15:13-14  No one has greater love than this, to lay down ones life for ones friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you.

John 1:12 But to all who received Him, who believed in His name, He gave power to become the children of God.

These scriptures are all so powerful individually, and as a whole we see such a complete picture of the wonderful promises of God:

God sent Jesus to save us from our sins.  He freed us from sin, by destroying the works of the devil.  Reconciliation with God is restored by our new relationship with Him.  We no longer have to live in fear, because God protects us.  He showed us his great love when he sent his son to earth, knowing that Jesus must give up his life to save our souls.  God gave our lives new, greater purpose and meaning.  And now we are all free to say "I am a child of God!"

These promises are so ultimate and so real.  If you haven't already, all you need to do is accept the truth's that Jesus came to earth to save humankind.

If you are looking for a relationship with God, or want to renew your relationship with Him,  confess your sins, ask for forgiveness and and say, out loud,  the salvation prayer (found in this blog on the page titled "Finding Salvation.")

I live to serve the Lord.  He is my truth and my way and my strength.  Through him all things are possible.  I love knowing that he protects, teaches me and loves me always!  Hallelujah!!!

I AM A CHILD OF GOD!!! 🙌🙌🙌❤️❤️❤️

Why did Jesus come to earth?

He came to reveal God's love, to forgive sins, to give eternal life, to set an example for living and establishing God's Kingdom.

Part 5

To set an example for living as well as establishing God's Kingdom on earth.

Jesus came to earth to show by example how to live a life that would be pleasing to God.  So how did Jesus set this example for lving?

Jesus lived a life of obedience to God:

John 8:29  And the one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what is pleasing to him.

Hebrews 4:14  Since then, we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, son of God, let us hold fast to our confession.

These scriptures tells us that Jesus, doing what is pleasing to God, set the first example of how to live a Godly life We must always remember that our salvation is based on what is expected, from us, through the example that Jesus set forth.

Jesus loved and served others:

Mark 10:45  For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life in ransom for many.

The world is not about me or you, it is all about God and His great love for us, and the work that He is looking for from us.  Jesus was doing God's will every time he reached out with love and service to anyone in need.  Every time he humbled himself to serve others he pleased God.  Eventually he gave the ultimate sacrifice, his life, in service to God, and all humanity.

Read the book of John, chapter 13, it speaks of the days leading up the crucification of Jesus and how he served us all.  It also talks about how we must allow him to serve us.  "Unless I wash you, you have no share in me." Jesus is not talking of the actual washing of Peter's feet, but to acceptance of Jesus in the mind, heart and soul of us all, so that we might share in his glory.  This is how Jesus truly serves us.

Jesis practiced effective spiritual discipline:

How did he practice this?  Through solitude, fasting, prayer and meditation.  To commune with God, your concentration needs to be centered on Him alone, no distractions, no noise.  Be peaceful with God as He becomes the focus of your prayers and meditation.

Mark 1:35  In the morning, while it was still very dark, He got up and went out to a deserted place, and there he prayed.

Jesus lived with integrity and courage:

He displayed integrity with everything he did, healing, saving souls, preaching, teaching, self discipline, serving others and having unconditional love for all humanity.

Jesus' courage can be found in His every act up to and including his crucification.  He faced trials by Satan and man.  He faced discouragement from the lack of faith by the Israelites.  He faced sadness and pain when, so called, men of God turned against him.  His courage was certainly seen as they beat Him and forced him to carry the cross upon which he was to be crusified.  He showed the greatest courage of all as they nailed his hands and feet to that cross.  While he hung there in pain, suffering, he showed his courage as he shared the love of God and salvation, with a thief hanging on a cross near him.

The honesty, integrity and courage of Christ Jesus should inspire us all, to strive to live in the same way.

Estsblishing God's Kingdom

Everything that has been written about Jesus, every step he took, every miracle he performed, every soul he saved and every obstacle he overcame was the establishment of God's Kingdom on earth.

By saving our souls and leading us to eternal life, he has passed on the responsibility of holding and growing God's Kingdom to all of us.  Today we continue the work Jesus began, by preaching, teaching , living and serving the Lord.

The best part is that when we our lives our to God and found salvation, Jesus promised he would never desert us, and that he is walking beside us showing, instructing and teaching, each of us, every moment of every day.  Hallelujah!

If you have not yet given your life to God, or would like to renew your faith, go to the "Finding Salvation" page in this blog.  There you can confess your sins, ask for forgives and repeat the prayer of salvation.  Join us in serving God and our fellow man.  🙏🙌❤️
